IMPPA receives letter from Municipal Corporation relating allotment of land

IMPPA has received a letter from the Municipal Corporation of Greater Mumbai, requesting to submit certain documents relating to Village details with regard to  allotment of land at Bandra (E) for IMPPA complex and the same will be submitted.   IMPPA hopes  after submission of the said details, they will consider our request relating to allotment of land for IMPPA complex.

IMPPA welcomes  the delegates of  Switzerland

On initiation of Shri Shakeel Noorani IMPPA has convened a meeting of its Executive Committee on 2.6.2010 to welcome the delegates  from Switzerland  where  Shri Peter E. Specker, Consul  General of Switzerland  and  Mr. Michael Maeder, Director of Switzerland Tourism were attended.  In the meeting various points relating to bilateral relations of promotion of Entertainment Industry were discussed at length.  The meeting was very fruitful and the delegates assured their full cooperation and support in promoting the Entertainment Industry in their country.  IMPPA hopes film producers  can get better services and facilities from Switzerland Government relating to the shooting of films / TV serials.

IMPPA writes to Director, Rajya Sabha, Government of lndia on Copyright Act (Amendment Bill 2010)

IMPPA has sent a letter to Director, Rajya Sabha, Government of lndia, New Delhi suggesting various amendments to the proposed Copyright Act (Amendment Bill 2010) in response to the Press Release issued by the Standing Committee – Human Resources Redevelopment, Government of India, New Delhi.  In the said letter,  IMPPA has requested  to safeguard the interest of the producers by incorporating the suggestions in the proposed Act.  IMPPA hops if the said suggestion will be considered it will be beneficial for the entire Film Industry particularly for production sector.

IMPPA-FWICE  JDSC meeting

The next meeting of the Joint Dispute Settlement Committee  of IMPPA-FWICE will be held on 10th June 2010 at 11.30 am in the Board Room of IMPPA, “IMPPA House”, Dr. Ambedkar Road, Bandra (W), Mumbai 400 050 when various complaints form  both the sides will be considered.  The meeting of JDSC of IMPPA-FWICE is functioning  smoothly for a very long time and numerous complaints from both the sides are considered  and decided by the Committee.   Therefore, members are requested to lodge their complaints if any against artistes and / or Technicians   so that the same can be referred to the said Committee for consideration.  Moreover,  jointly taken decisions are  easy to  implement and hence members  may avail  this opportunity  and  lodge their complaints on time.
