The ‘Western India Princess – Fashion for a Change’ fashion carnival, organized by visionary social entrepreneur, Mr. Sunil Rane of Atharva Group of Institutes, headed towards an exciting climax with 16 contestants from Western India vying for top honours at the Taj Land’s End.
Mr. Rane plays a perfect host for the evening as the Gorgeous Gals brigade from Bollywood, Tanushree Dutta, Minisha Lamba and Urvashi Sharma set the temperatures soaring along with the sixteen finalists who were awaiting there results.

This interstate pageant saw young girl students from Maharashtra, Gujarat and Goa vying for the top prize; i.e., a film contract with IMMPA and 4-month acting lessons with well known acting guru, Roshan Taneja.

Title Western India Princess was won by ” Bhavna Bhatia” and runners up were Ragini Mahajan and Sneha Shetty,They were crowned by Sunil Rane with Tiara especially made by Ghanasingh.

Bharat and Dorris were hair and make up partners and Dorris contributed extensively and she was especially thanked for being with the contestants on every step.

The finale saw the girls walk the ramp in western, traditional and bridal outfits.designed By Avesh Dadlani,Rashmi Bagga(Sattava),Archana kochhar and Rahul Agasthi.

The stage was gigantic and the grand light and sound set up made the evening a rocking affair.

Classy couturier A. D. Singh has lined up an eclectic ensemble for an enthralling fashion show that set the stage on fire and stir hearts of the discerning audiences. The icing on the cake was provided by the showstoppers — the mesmerizing Mrinalini Sharma and the suave Samir Kochhar, star couple from the eagerly awaited Bollywood thriller, ‘Hide N Seek’.

Unravelling and launching his allure collection was Avesh Dadlani, who adorns the contestants during the Glittering Gown’ round, while a beautiful Bridal Wear round is being conjured up by ‘ravishing’ fashion designer Rashmi Bagga. Carlyta Mohini sets hearts flutter with a striking Brazilian performance while Sumitra Iyer sings her way to audiences’ soul.

The Top 3 finalists were decided by an eminent panel of Judges comprising distinguished personalities from various walks of life such as Pantaloons Femina Miss India Pooja Chopra, Sharon Prabhakar and Amruta Patki,Archana Kochhar,Vijay Singh, Mr.Rajan of athrwa.

Contributing in the direction so that no more children work and give them their childhood, their lost innocence and smile back; by giving them education to enlighten their hearts and this world to make it a better place to live in.”
Mr. Rane ensures that every aspect of this pioneering effort has been designed with of feeling, care, emotion and sheer style and showmanship. In his inimitable style and panache, Mr. Rane has conjured up an eclectic mix for the grand finale with all the 16 contestants getting real gold and diamond studded tiara crowns from Ghanasingh Jewellers.
Selections were carried in three states of India (Maharashtra, Gujarat & Goa) where the girls were evaluated on overall looks, intellect and personality. This was followed by further short – Listing in Mumbai & then a 5 – 7 days Training session at a 5 star Resort Blue Ocean resort & Spa in Ganpatipule, Ratnagiri.
